whick fuse is it?!?!?
i know there is a fuse you pull so you can hold the brake and gas for a burnout, and i have searched with no avail! can someone PLEASE help me!
I dont remember which one it is.. but its located by the gas and brake pedals.. Another guy with a G told me about it and he said it helped shaved 0.2 seconds off his 1/4 mile.
Only drawback he said was that your brakes can lock if you press them a bit too hard after the drag run.

Its in the fuse box near the clutch. If I remember, it says something like "Brake Lamp".
Ninous26, I don't think it takes away ABS. The only drawback is the fact that your brake lights wont light up. So you just have to be a little extra careful with the guy behind (or if you're getting smoked, then it doesn't matter anyway
).

Or you can pop off the center console and disconnect the VDC sensor. It will turn off stability control and traction, but leave the ABS. When I disconnect this sensor, I can do sitting burnouts quite easily. Haven't tried it at the strip though. I really don't think it help me much because I have no real need to do a burnout since I don't have drag radials or slicks. Doing a burnout on street tires is worthless and will release oils from the tires and make them slick. Only the drag racing ignorant do burnouts at the strip on radial tires.

^^ on street tires, like DaveB implied, the only thing you really need to do is "spin" the tires for a second before you get to the line (around the water box!). Just to clean off anything of the tires.
Burnouts are not necessary unless you have DR's/slicks.
DaveB's method looks a bit more complicated than just pulling the brake lamp fuse.

It only takes me about 15 seconds to access the sensor. Removing the plug is a bit hard though and that takes about 30 seconds. For a 6MT, it may be slightly harder or about the same. The picture is misleading and at least with the 5AT, you don't have to remove the center console. I simply remove the shift know, lift up the top console part, disconnect the sensor, reassemble. 1 minute tops. The advantage to disconnecting this sensor is that you still have ABS and full functioning brake lights.

Does anyone remember what thread Trey used to talk about this? I have no clue because it has been so long.
Anyway the jist of it was that we tried pulling the fuses and that didn't work for us like it should have. We ended up popping the hood and unhooking about 5 wiring harnesses in the front near the driver's side. If you can find his thread about it, I believe he put up pictures. w0ady was at Sharif's when we finally got it to work, so there is a *chance* he remembers.

Here's the thread when Lyndon and myself were there at Sharif's with you all...
