need some racing advice???
speaking of tire patch... does anyone use the quick seal stuff? I don’t know what it’s called... the compressed air with sealant?
Obviously it will get you to a safe place to deal with the issue, but does the sealant material create problems after the tire is repaired? Or do you clean it all out when the tire is off?
BTW - why do you guys carry around tire patch kits? How do you get the tire off the wheel to repair?

It's less weight/space for DD, which is why I carry it.

Also, it is a *temporary* fix. It has to be repaired professionally.

It seems clear you haven’t actually used it yet, so maybe my questions cant be answered form you... but I'm asking anyone that has used the stuff.
The tire patch kit is actually a tire plug kit. I've been using them for years to repair tires. The kit includes a metal file that you ram into the puncture to clean it out. Then you take a nylon plug covered in rubbery goop and you take a another tool and ram it into the puncture. Then cut off the remaining plug sticking out of the hole. The whole process takes about 15 minutes and beats using a temporary 50mph spare. When you get to your destination, take the wheel to a shop have a true tire patch installed.
