The new GT500 with more power, yet with a bad driver, he did the 1/4 mile in 14.7. Thats what I did with my stock G35 coupe. The other runs were faster for him, but the fastest they got was 12.6 I've seen turbonetics g35's do 12.9s....

You might give him a run for his money.

when my car was running strong, i had some fun w/ a couple of GT500 on the highway and i always slightly pulled on them

so seeing how you have 20whp/20ftlbs more than me, you should be able to take him

i would say its a drivers race

If he has done anything, he would pretty much spank you

IF his car is stock. That is the thing with a GT500 or a Z06. It only takes very minor mods like pully or chip to drastically up their power.

It is only 150 dollars for a 2.6 Pully, proven 30 whp gains. Add a cold air intake and ecu chip. He could easily have over 500 to the wheels and you wouldnt know.

PS I just looked it up.
Steeda 2.6 Pully - 150 dollars
Steeda Cold Air Intake - 350 dollars
STC XCalibrator ECU and tune Tune - 500 dollars
Put down 624 whp, you would never know he has them.

what kind of mods are you talking about for the z06? (assuming c6 z06 correct?) There are definitely mods out there now but they all seem pretty pricey.

^^ The STC and DiabloSport ecu flashes are about 500 or less, other than that though your going to be spending some g's for exhaust etc......

For the Z06 I was pretty much talking about just intake and ecu. Still can get some crazy power.

Like people said. There is only one way to find out. But my money would be on him.

I would find out what day is street legals at the track and ask him if wants to go race for a little cash even tell him the loser pays the other guys track fee. I bet he backs down guys with cars like that are scared to be laughed at if they lose to a 6cyl "rice burner". I talked with the Shelby owner I raced after I told him that he had a nice car that was fast and you could tell he was all sad he lost to me He had all kinds of excuses and said he has a bunch of mods planned.
