Keep it in drive sport, but when you are in 3rd past 90 mph flick the left paddle shifter and hold it to redline. You will literally hit the limiter right at the 1/4 mile marker and gain a solid 2 mph extra trap, that 60 foot is good for 13.5-13.6

When will you be back? We should make it an SDCE track day, curious to see how many would participate.

Thanks for adding me on the list here herrschaft. Im gonna re-run my times again and go for faster ones. The mod that I've done since my previous run is Uprev Tune. Although I feel like I could have gotten a bit better time at the track last time. Could've gotten a better jump, but ohh well im interested what I can run on the next run =)

I wish I had a slip for my 14.95 pass, stock. I'll get some maintenance done (plugs, air filter, injector service) and then get back to the track and see if I can beat that. I ran that on a 95K mile motor, lol.

ok here's my recent 07 G35S 5AT Updated run at the drag strip! The only mod that's been added is UpRev Tune. No big time gains but Im pretty sure I can hit 13.6 at that track if i use a better strategy at the end of 1/4. I gotta keep it in 3rd and not shift before 1/4 ends. I tried doing that once and I did get 2mph extra at the end... but that run I had a bad launch, so my time wasn't that good.

antodiaz just up higher of my post ran almost similar time with just a Cold Air intake??? wow and I got full exhaust, HFCs, and UprevTune. Makes me think something is wrong with my car. I was on 93 octane, with about 2 gallons left in the tank. and the weather was 73 degrees.

here's the updated pic of the best run i had that day.

What RPM are you shifting at and what is your rev limiter set at? Next time try shifting at or a little above your stock redline and then holding 3rd.

If you have a extended rev limiter you are probably not making power to that new limit, but actually slowing down.

My limit is 7300, but I shift at 6800-7k the 7300 limit helps me hold 3rd since the shift into 4th kills accel for us 5AT guys.

Do you have a dyno sheet? You want to shift at or a little after your peak HP so your rpms drop in the meat of your powerband not almost the end of it.

Heard that cold air intakes wake up the HR sedans.

yeahh i've looked at my uprev dyno bar chart... here it is ... and yeahh it seems like it does end at 7300K. When I shift my self, I shift 1st in 7K and the rest at red line which is 7.6K, and most likely it does kills it since the power band bar ends at 7.3K, hmmmmm what you think???

And I've launched the car at 1-3K RPM. usually I do at 2-2.5K. I have no problem with the grip. Just my 5AT is restricting me to rev up higher.

Try shifting at 6800 since that is when your power starts dropping. Since you don't have a shift kit by the time your car shifts at 7k your rpms will be between 7200-7300, but if you shift at 6800 your rpms will be 7000-7100.

Here is a copy of my dyno sheet.

^^^ what are your mods??? Is your G boosted??? That's a pretty impressive time and power for an 04 sedan if it's only bolt-ons!
