My g35 vs mustang gt both 2005

If i was driving that Mustang, I would win.
But chances are if your buddy is new to driving a 5-spd, he might screw up enough to give you a chance if you nail the launch correctly.
The thing with magazine racing vs real world racing is the magazine guys are pro drivers. If they bang out a 13.5 with a car, everyone and their mother thinks if they race they too can run 13.5. In reality, that rarely happens.
I've seen corvettes and cobras run 15's. G35's and G37s as well. The world is full of shitty drivers but nobody thinks it's them.

V8 vs v6 .the G will hit its power band quicker. I know mine does around 3200 rpms . I would run a gt stang any day. While he is spinning tires my X will be hooking up with the pavement and go! No wheel spin.Gt mustangs didnt have poines under the hood until 2011. I would buy a 15 mustang and get the v6 with 375 poines!

You guys are racing the wrong Mustangs.
I've beaten mustangs in my G35, and I've beaten G35s in my mustang. There are waaaaaaay too many variables to say who will be who on a particular day. Hate to say it but the biggest variable is the driver, and plenty of guys think they are the best drivers in the world. If that was the case, I wouldn't see so many g35/g37s and corvettes and cobras running 15 second quarter miles at the track.
And plenty of g35 guys are guilty of this as well. I've seen a few coupes trying to launch on 19" and 20" rims at the track and struggling to hook up.
Drag racing is an art.

Not going to lie but I drive w/ 20s as my daily. I would like to see what my 1/4 mile time would be as my daily. Not too worries since I am SC. I know I would do better if I put my 18s on but I am not going to tell my racer can you wait while I change my set up. Mustangs are pretty beefy but the G should be more fun to drive and should beat the mustang if you can drive it right
