Dude calm down boy racer.

Can you offer anything to support your claim that the g was stock and the rsx wasn't?

And, out of curiosity, what's your best time down the 1/4?

Dude, you must have superman's eyes, or else, how in the world can you tell the G is stock and the RSX is modded. I don't think anyone can argue that the RSX is in the same league as the G stock for stock. But once modded, it's a whole different ball game. Then it all comes down the power to weight ratio. Comparing a stock RSX to a stock G is like comparing a stock G a stock M3. It's pointless.

If the RSX is modded properly.. a G wouldn't have a chance.. The RSX's $$ to speed ratio is much better than the G's.

There's so much more mod options for RSX and other Honda than the G. I have both GSR and G; that's what I missed most about the GSR. Not only mods but there are frankenstine options and motor swaps. $ for $, it's hard to beat a Honda when you start modding.

Point is simple. Any old car can be made faster than another. I can make a civic faster than a ferrari. but the truth is simple: It's still a civic...

In this case: It's still a RSX

End of the day whether he beats me or not, I still have the nicer car which 9/10 ppl would rather have...I am not trying to be cocky, but I dont see any of you moving forward to trade your G's in for RSX's....

I had an RSX before my G35 and the K20 motor is honestly much better at getting power out of modifications. Simple intake, exhaust doesnt do much for the G. It isnt as nice as the G35 but that is also why it costs 15 grand less. It is a amazing engine though, I know of atleast two people pushing 500+whp and 400+torque with a stock engine, on pump gas. The crazy part is you can do it for around 5 grand.

Perhaps I'm ignorant to the possibilities with FWD but how exactly do those RSXs with 500+ whp stay on the road?

I would never trade my G for a RSX. But one day, hopefully soon, I'll get a 92 hatch project car with a K20 in it.

Of course, the whole point of this thread is the G beat a RSX in a race, right? not that the G has better interior or look better. If you just discount a car because it starts out cheaper, then all of these I beat such and such in a race is pointless because most of the time, they're on in the same class.

Most likely, the 500WHP is made above 8000RPM. In daily driving range, under 4k RPM, I'm sure it probably have around 200WHP or less. So it's definitely drivable. Just don't hit a turn @ 8000 RPM

Peak HP doesn't hit till after Vtec/Turbo spool etc... Which makes it awesome for fuel economy. And launching can be helped with proper ECU reflash with launch rpm limiters and proper aftermarket motormounts.

Had a DC5 for a while... 13.8~13.9's with about 1g worth of mods... Yep
Now the difference is, can you bare the exhaust/intake sound?

Moved to the G.. Been modding it.. but very paranoid about sound. I'm a very quiet type of guy.. Fujitsubo + Turbo = No more G VQ Exhaust tone + quieter than stock!

There is really no point to this type of argument. If you are going to compare cars you have to compare them stock to stock. Otherwise, you need to compare individual cars. In that case, the type of car doesn’t really matter nor does how much you spent on it. All that matters is who is quicker. If a civic that has had 40k dumped into it wins against a skyline, it still won, case closed.

Of course there are going to be modified cars that will walk over cars that are their stock superior. That’s the whole fun of this. Build something fast, and show that you are quicker than the next guy. If you aren’t faster, than that’s all there is to it, you either get back to tuning your car or admit defeat.
