dude sorry but those are horrible, with an auto if you floor it off the line you should pull 2.0s 60 foot times all day. i ran 14.2 with a bone stock G35, i have sold it now and got a Z but you should be able to do much much MUCH better.

do you have a system in the car with 8 12 inch woofers?? something has to be slowing your car down. with those slips you are probably going to run a low 15 sec quarter mile time. maybe on a lucky run a 14.9.

i would get ALL the weight i could out of your car and try to go back

drag racing is hands down ALL ABOUT WEIGHT. dont have any passengers, dont have the spare tire, have a 1/4 tank of gas....

start with your car in 3rd gear, 3 on your dial, hold down the brake, dont touch the gas at all, then floor your car, letting off the brake as soon as it takes off. dont powerbrake these cars at all cause it will make it hesitate off the line and pull bad 60s like 2.3s...

good luck next time !!

I dont think thats possible on automatic G's...at least its not on my 04 coupe. I think the weight prolly slowed you down, the rims, the addl passenger, those things all add up to ur times.

see i had an 04 G sedan... i could just put it in whatever gear i wanted it to go up to, when i was at the track i just put it in 3, that way it shifted into second and third automatically cause if i tried to shift it, sometimes it wouldnt shift when i wanted it to...

i pulled consistent 2.0 flats

its all about weight, good luck next time, not much thinking about an automatic!!!

There must be something wrong with my sedan because the best 60 foot my 5AT can muster in mid to high 2.1s. I've always launched with the same technique too. I'd be thrilled to pull 2.0s because that would mean solid 14.1s. From what I've seen on this site, 2.0s out of an auto is a huge rarity. Most guys are in the 2.2s and 2.3s. Hell, the 5AT 350Zs rarely pulls 2.0s

I do agree about the his 1/8th mile times. They are rather slow. Maybe the weather was very hot or the track is just slow. 9.7s and 9.8 suggest 15.1-15.3s.

take more weight out, that is the trick, less weight equals better 60s

just for the track take out the passenger seat and so forth...

well that 72mph trap in the 1/8mile is also 2-3mph slower than normal since that would mean that his car would have trapped at about 92-93mph if it was an actual 1/4mile run.
