Clutch question.

I learned to drive manual on this car so I know nothing else. Apparently my clutch has a high catch point and the dealer said it was going to need to be replaced soon. This is a pain because the car only has 25k on it. The car is used and I know my beginning driving didn't help. But I'm pretty good now and and feels fine to me. I don't feel any loss of power or any slippage. I guess my basic question is, is a high catch point a sign of a bad clutch? If anything I would think its easier to drive because of that.

If you only have 25k you need to adjust the engagement point and see if that fixes your problem. That's pretty early for a new clutch.

i honestly think they're trying to **** you over, even if you did learn how to drive on this car, the clutch is made to last at lest 60000-100000 miles. my honda accord's clutch lasted 80000 before having to replace it, and i learned on that car. just drive it til u start getting problems. or if the dealer replaces it for free, go for it!

i mean i think its early for a clutch too but ive read on here people had less miles with worn clutches. is a high catch point a bad thing? i saw another thread with a diy to get a lower catch point.
