A new manual trans from Performance Nissan is only $1,810.42... still sounds like a big, expensive job though.

ok so honestly guys i still have no idea how much this project is goign to cost. Cuz a lot of crap happened to my car before i wanted to do the tranny swap. My engine blew so i had to find a new motor and it was around 5500 for transmission and another VQ with 6k miles. Also i found someone to buy my ST setup, so im going Greddy TT so i wont be sure on how much it will cost exactly on just a transmission swap.
But if anyone else is interested in a manual swap, you can get "DJM AutoWorks" transmission, hes only charging 900. A lot less than a new one from performance nissan. The center console my friend is getting new from Infiniti, and it might take some time to find the pedal assembly and lines. But if you guys can get him the parts labor shouldnt be too bad. Another reason why it might be so cheap is cause im not swapping out the gauge cluster.
I just got all the parts today, engine, transmission, pedals, turbo kit, everything except the center console we placed an order at infiniti for it today hopefully it comes soon. i should have my car back by the end of the week for sure.
Still no picks though =\ i dont think ill have a chance to take pics of im doing the job, but for sure pics of before and after.
ill update when i get more info

still waiting on some parts from Nissan.
only update i have is the TT is on the engine =b looks awesome. New HKS Hi Power Exhaust is in too.
i also found out how my motor blew. THe line leading from the wastegate melted because it was touching the exhaust so my wastegate wouldnt open. The person working on my car right now said they shouldve wrapped it or moved it so it wouldnt hit the exhaust. So i guess GT Motorsports f*ed up big on my car. I remember seeing the boost guage at like 1.5 bars (1 bar is like around 14psi?) n i pulled over. and when i drove again it started making a weird sound.
Car should be out of shop by end of this week for sure.
well im hoping it is :]
So people going to GT Motorsports, make sure they dont mess up on your car.

Hey guys, sorry for the late response, im never really on this board anymore.
But the tranny swap did take a long time, in the end it drove just like a stock manual car.
Everything ran great.
The number for AutoHan is (213) 725-451. He is located in Downey now, give him a call and ask him if he is willing to do it again.

If i had 10 bucks for everytime someone wanted to do a AT to MT swap
I have been reading about this same sort of project for years. Same crap (car) different smell
In the end it will cost you more money than you thought it would.
For the 1 thousandth time. if you want a manual car then purchase 1.
If you have more money and time than you know what to do with then attempt the project. But then you would not have bought a G35 and spent your money someplace else.
You are setting yourself up for a world of disapointment. Put yourself in a position to win dont take the chance of messing up your car and if it's your primary means of transportation then you are setting yourself up to loose.
But hey do what you want it's your car.
