Question new bumper, throw out bearing, and 30K service!!

Im going in 2 days to the dealer to pay 499+ tax for the 30,000 mile service and to have the throw out bearing replaced ! is the throw out bearing under Warranty because its starting to go out and the dealer said that it should not be going bad this early? and is there a way i can check to see if the dealer did all the things for the 30,000 mile service to make sure im not being ripped off?

O and this lady backed into the G with her truck messing up the front bumper but she said her insurance would fix it. What I was wondering is if the bumper can be replaced with the 06 sport bumper?

(sorry for the bad spelling)

thanks for the help!

throw out bearing is wear and tear item...part of the clutch...it would be covered the first 12k miles or if the tech really likes you

I paid $279 + tax for my 30k service. I had them do everything minus the oil chance, and 2 filter changes because I did them myself. They knocked off $100 for those 3 things. The labor was 2/3 of the final price.

Ask for a list of what is being done. I bet 90% of it is "inspection".

Tell her insurance to go to a body shop of your choice.

The insurance company will send out an appraiser to look at the damage.

He will most likely replace the old bumper with an oem 05 bumper and pay for painting and installation.

You will be written a check for the amount of damages and parts. You can use the "parts" money for the 05 oem bumper yourself or have the body shop buy it for you. I would look for the 06 sport bumper myself if you want to save some money. You should be able to find it for a cheaper price than what the insurance is paying for an 05 bumper. Look for the bumper now so you will have it handy to give to the body shop when you bring the car in. This way you won't have to wait as long.

+1

A good body shop will do this for you. Just set it up with them first. Worst case you should be able to get the new one for free.
