LSD questions.

Does installing an Limited Slip Differential make such a big difference in handling tha car in corners? Is it really worth 12 hundred?
I need some opinions and reviews from someone who has it.

the short answer is yes, but it depends on the LSD you are installing and how much driveability/noise you are willing to deal with for the added performance

If you don't take your car to the track be it drag, road course, auto-x the cost of doing a mechanical lsd probably isn't worth it. But if you do I would say it is quite worth it and almost a necessity.

You'd be best off with a Quaife. Its a drop-in for the 5AT open diff. Only other option is Cusco, or factory VLSD, but they require getting new axle stubs. Any other LSD would require sourcing a pumpkin from a 6MT to use as a basis.

The LSD type you choose will depend on what type of driving you do and how much noise you are willing to live with. The stock LSD is noise free, but doesn't kick in until one of the wheels is spinning already which isn't optimal for track use. Other LSD's such as the nismo make alot of noises and aren't as driveable, do some research on here and my350z before you decide on anything

Ok, so what other LSD's are out there, besides the Nismo, and how do they perform?

SEARCH! This isnt an easy question to answer, expect to spend 2-8 hours reading up on the different types of LSD's, their pros and cons, and lots of reviews before you make a decision, noones going to be able to tell you simply which ones to get
