Infiniti and CVT transmissions
Ive always been wondering...do any of you guys think that Infiniti will ever abandon the ATs and switch over to CVT transmissions for their vehicles? I know Nissan has pretty much made CVTs standard most of their automatics as well as some other manufacturers. I just question how long Infiniti will take to follow.
Im not that big of a fan of the CVT transmissions and am alittle skeptical of them switching. They are very smooth no doubt but IMO, it just doesnt "feel" normal. I have driven my Dad's Murano and I just cant get used to it. People say they offer same if not better performance than the typical 4 or 5AT because it holds the power curve..but to me it just doesnt feel right. Maybe the absense of the shifts at WOT make it feel slower. What do you guys think?

CVT's on Infiniti's? It would be Nissan's worst move to date if it happened. There's nothing fun about a CVT; it shouldn't be on any RWD, FM platform vehicle.
