the package tracking says the unit has been received by Quaife, I sent an email today to see if they in fact have it and if they have everything they need to get a unit built...

Yes, we did receive the diff today, thanks! Included was a stub axle, but one of our guys is not sure if it is the correct unit for this sample diff as it apparently does not seem to fit very well. Can you confirm that this piece sent is supposed to go into the diff? If it doesn't, we would need both flanges that attach to the diff.

I have also contact quaife, and this is their reply:

"we have recieved the differential and are currently examining it for a
production run. just keep watching the forums, for updates."

Time to start saving guys, maybe we could get a group buy together and get a decent price for it since it's the first production run.

Well I guess not until Quaife delcare production for the LSD is ready and is taking order.

we do have a problem though, he could only send 1 of the flanges, because the other one broke, Quiafe needs both, so we need to get a set of flanges somehow...

isn't there a part number list somewhere? maybe i can get Quaife to buy a set...

or, if someone has a set they can give up for a while, that would be awesome...

I will eventually have to get the other one anyway. I just don't know which side Quaife has (left or right). The only marking on the flange is the letter "B", no p/n of course. Anyone have any clues as to which side that would mean? If I knew, I'd buy the other one since I'll have to anyways.

I'm told the part numbers for the stubs are 38220-AR011 and 38220-AR010.

Much thanks to Andy, his 350z source, and anyone else who had a part in getting the diff to Quaife. My question is, are the axel flanges that are needed (350z I'm assuming) the same part #'s that are found on 6mt Sedans and Coupes? I'll take a look in the manual and see if there are any relevant part #'s or anything like that. Maybe we can get a group pitch in to buy these extra parts. Or maybe get them off a 350z or G in a junkyard???

Any updates? Like I said if those extra parts are still needed I'm willing to chip in to get them to Quaife. I'd really like to see this Quaife LSD made for our cars.

If you have a non-lsd equipped car then you need the new flanges...they are unequal in length left to right. The non-lsd cars have the same length axle stubs.

 

Put me on the list for a new Quaife LSD unit, I'm ready for Freddy.

Just spoke with Brian at Quaife, modeling off the 350z vlsd will be very difficult, the diff size stub axles cause a problem for them. He's trying to locate some different parts and continuing to do research to come up with a solution.

I know we've gone over this before, but we need a list of the different flavors of diffs out there that we are trying to cover.

I don't know the list, but I know the knowledge is out there, below is all the possible combinations I can think of, please correct me where I'm wrong (I know I've listed some that don't exist) and give me any detail about each application that is known (for example if a particular flavor requires extra parts, I know some do)

nor a

2. Manual G35 Coupe with open diff
