Re: Quaife LSD

that's what i need, more feedback...

am i right in that cars with factory VLSD have unequal length axle stubs and the non LSD cars have equal length??? the unequal length is what is causing an issue at Quaife, so it might wind up that the cars with LSD will be the ones that have to get the axle stubs from the non LSD cars...

latest list (please feedback till we get the list right):

Auto 350z, open diff
Manual 350z, open diff
Auto 350z, factory VLSD
Manual 350z, factory VLSD
Auto G35 Coupe, open diff
Auto G35 Coupe, factory VLSD
Manual G35 Coupe, factory VLSD
Auto G35 Sedan, open diff
Manual G35 Sedan, open diff
Manual G35 Sedan, factory VLSD

Re: Quaife LSD

Yes on the MT cars. What is still unknown is how the automatic VLS diffs are packaged. How do they manage to run the automatic's ring and pinion gear set with the limited slip diff. When ever a open diff "auto" owner has tried to convert to manuel clutch type LSD or the oem VLS that came out of a MT car, they have to buy the ring and pinion gear set from a manuel transmission car. Makes me wonder, do the VLS auto diff's use equal length stub axles because of the different thickness the auto ring and pinion gear set? If someone were to walk into the Infiniti parts department that could answer the question.

Re: Quaife LSD

I think I pretty much confirmed that all the possible options for the 350Z do exist. Here's the breakdown...

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthre...threadid=76653

So I guess the question comes down to is if Quaife would have to make seperate versions for autos and manuals?
