UPDATE - Anyone get a fix for the notchy shifter?
I've already had my car looked at by Grubbs a few months ago and even took a test ride with the tech. The guy was pretty clumsy with the manual tranny and had very jerky shifts. I was cringing the whole time but that's besides the point and did want to **** him off by belittleing his shifting. But most of us know our cars--we know where all the scratches are, the noises they make and the way the car feels/handles. I dropped it off this morning at Bob Moore here in OKC and maybe they can duplicate it. Did anyone's tech find a problem with their synchros or shifter linkage or elsewhere? It's intermittent, about every 10th shift, 3rd is a little hard to go into and of course it didn't do it all day yesterday.

Well, the tech rode with me during the test drive and did feel some notchiness. Said will send Infiniti some info. I guess they checked the fluid and found a little brass in there. The advisor said it may be from the synchro rings and Infiniti gave them a thumbs up for a new transmission. I just wish they would've replaced the clutch too. While it was there i had them look at the seat belts not retracting properly and the TSB did not fix the problem so they changed out the left seat belt assy. The nasty/flattened seat bolster was denied due to wear.
