in full auto mine lags when trying to downshift from accelerator... switching to mm works almost instantly... most people If talked to with AT say the same thing... there have been several threads about it... maybe you have a unique trans?

Yeah if you're in 5th and switch it to MM, it'll automatically shift down into 4th.

I kinda understand the person that gets a 5at and uses is some of the time like yourself, but someone who claims to only have used it for 100yds? Some of these excuses don't make sense to me...such as why would your left foot fall off and not your right?

i think where hai is getting at is it's hard to understand why someone who drives in MM "100%" of the time would get a AT to begin with.

Exactly. I'm not retarded, I understand why MOST people get a manumatic, I had one on my last car. I justified it in a similar fashion, best of both worlds, only I eventually figured out, well its not and went to 6mt. Alot of people are perfectly satisfied with have both capabilities, with the advantages and disadvantages that come with both.

it's missing the clutch pedal. that's far enough from manual.

Automatic transmission engages "clutch" automatically

Manual transmission.........you have to do it manually.

GTR All new 6 speed dual clutch transmission engages clutch.........AUTOMATICALLY.

Traditional automatic transmission have no "clutch" to begin with, they are continously "engaged" to the engine. The GT-R dual clutch system engages the clutch automatically, big difference.
