MY DIY differential oil change

The oil in there was changed before but I did this for peace of mind and because I like my LSD

The magnetic drain plug did have metal shavings on it which I expected from reading up here but no metal shavings drained out.

cool, when is this recommended? I have 40K mi and recently had a trans. fluid service and was wondering about the diff. fluid.

Thanks.

The diff fluid change should be done every 30K miles or 2 years, whichever comes first.

Nice DIY pics QBridg. I did my diff fluid change a while back, and it's a lot easier than the oil change. I'm surprised you did this with no jacks and still have plenty of room under the car.

Thank you. I actually fit under the car and I'm 6'1"

I had just bought jacks but since I could fit under it without them I did it like that since it was easier.

If you have a LSD and you like leaving 2 solid marks on the pavement launching then I suggest it's changed once every 6k-8k but I'm a lil crazy with it
