Slip light on right before redline
Slip light on right before redline
Still learning my 05 G35 and one thing I do not understand is that when I accelerate hard the slip light will light up about 200-300 rpm before redline, this is with the car in manu-matic mode. Anybody know what this is all about.

No it happens in all the gears. I do not understand it, I know that when reaching redline in 2nd and 3rd gear there is no way that it is breaking traction so why would this light come on. It goes off as soon as I shift.
Is it the shift light? I'm not sure if it's on the Autos...
You can push your trip/mileage a few times and change the RPM Light, which I think is what you're getting. Mine is set at 7000 RPMs so that if/when I am redlining my car the light will blink a few RPMs before to ensure I remember to shift, then promptly goes away once I shift.

I have no idea why it would be coming on, sounds really weird.
And no, it isn't a shift light. It has nothing to do with the shift light on the 6MT's.
The slip light shouldn't just come on like that, does it do it when VDC is off?
