Gary,
I apologize man... you know I always stay out of these fights, but I was seriously provoked. Sorry to everyone that had to read that, that will be the last public fighting between us.

JBALLA,
Sorry to take your thread completely off topic. I've looked through the WB kit and think a simple bracket can be made to move the paddles up (if you have the 2nd gen kit). The current mount they use looks like it could use a little reinforcement as well. If I can help in any way, just let me know.

A paddle might settle this....LOL

Hmm, all this controversy over the paddle shifters maybe I NEED set. Lawrence
told me they were major fun to shift, couldn't we all use more fun? I'll wait
a few months maybe my wife will buy me a set for Christmas.

someone makes an oem paddle shifter kit for an 2005 coupe by now.
Zack did it 2 years ago. I mean really.

only current options are DIY from instructions online or the Works Bell Column Shifters which work with your OEM steering wheel.

unless zack has something up his sleeve

isnt the shifter just a switch, that when you move it up it tells the comp to shift, and move it down it pushes a switch to shift..ect

isn't all you need is paddle shifters with a switch and just wire it behind everything?

or how wrong am I?

no its not just a switch. you need 2 relays to send the signals to shift up and down

if it were as easy as wireing up a few momentary switches i think we'd see a lot more of this mod
