Wet Shoe + Clutch Pedal

Wet Shoe + Clutch Pedal
Do any of you have problems when its raining and you have wet shoe soles and your foot tends to slip around on the clutch pedal? I find it semi difficult to make smooth shifts when my shoe doesnt have good grip on the pedal. I have tried it with a few different pairs of shoes and although my shoes are more flat/smoother bottoms than some shoes I dont think it should be this slippery. Anyone else experience this?

I have tried this many times, i think the fact that im doing it on the mat rather than the true carpet underneath it just doesnt absorb as well. I'm thinking of trying to find some type of matching small black like towel or mat and cut it to fit in the side to wipe my shoes on.

A wet shoe is nothing in comparison to an ice or snow-packed shoe.
The only thing you can really do is to try to smack your feet together before you get in the car or wipe your feet off on the carpet or a paper towel.
I usually install some sort of aggressive metal pedals on my winter cars so that it helps with grip in situations like this with the clutch.

Are you pressing the clutch in with the toes of your feet, maybe its because you don't have enough contact path between your foot and the pedal when your foot is wet causing it to slip off.
Maybe try to orient the seat so that you press down with the middle of your foot? That might help...

I can't drive in the majority of the dress shoes that I have, so I usually bring a pair of sneakers to change into. But I usually slip my shoes on and off without having to tie the laces all the time, so it doesn't take any time for me to change shoes.
If you can't drive with wet shoes on, I guess you can do the same.
