Amsoil differential gear lubricant

I am going to change the diff. oil so I recently purchased 2 quarts of Amsoil 75W-90 Long Life Synthetic Gear Lube with Product Code: FGRQT-EA.
I have noticed some of you are using the Severe Gear 75W-90 Product Code: SVGQT-EA. Both are API GL-5 grade.
I've talked to the Amsoil tech and he asked if my car has either the mechanical type or clutch type diff. I told him the 2004 G35 6mt has viscous type. He couldn't find any special instruction for our cars so he said both are fine as long as there is no chatter.

Will I have problem using the Long Life Synthetic gear Lube?

Thanks.

I changed my differential fluid with Valvoline 80W-90 GL-5 fluid. From what I recall, about 1.5 quarts of fluid is needed to refill.

Severe gear is a couple of bucks more, but
IIRC it's rated for higher pressure & less shear.
I think you'll find most peeps here using it.

With the VLSD - the viscose fluid is isolated from the gear lube, so it isn't a factor when selecting a product.

You can also catch up to SwivelHips, he's an Amsoil dealer

I have Severe Gear in mine. Shift's has been smoother and less restricted since having it. Then again, I did swap tranmission fluid with amsoil as well. So i'm not sure which part actually made things smoother...maybe both.

I tried amsoil to see if i can get rid of the noisy characteristics of the transmission but I guess the noise and chatter are somethings that the G is born with.

Smoother shifting would have nothing to do with diff fluid change - that's all because of your tranny gear oil change.

Chatter is common in most MT cars... it's usually due to the pressure plate springs going slack when released.

But the other noises.... definitely just part of owning a 6MT G
It took me a while to get used to it after the 6MT in my Bimmer.

Ok, during this past weekend, beside the Amsoil diff fluid changed, I also changed the MT fluid with Amsoil, coolant drained/filled and oil change. I believe these are the main mechanical items for the 30k service.
I only use the regular oil but 10W40 weight. The dealer recommended this due to the common oil consumption problem with 6mt cars.

My G feels much livelier. Shifting thru the gears feels smoother. The best part is have fun working on the car while saving money from not going to dealership. Thanks to all the DIY directions/video from this forum.

I have a 04 G 6mt and i want to change my tranny fluid and differential fluid, what do you recommend for each. So far i have heard for the trans (Amsoil MT90 75w/90) and for the differential (Amsoil fully synthetic SAE 80w-90)...let me know if im on the right track or correct me if im wrong.
