trans and diff fluid...
i have an 03 coupe(6mt) and i need to know how much diff fluid and trans fluid i need and what type i need....i heard it was like a total of almost 4 qrts..?? GL-4?
Get four quarts for the transmission, you'll only use about 3.5 though. Two quarts will be enough for the differential (only need 1.5 qts). There's a few DIY's here (I did one for the transmission and submitted pics for the diff), give me a second and I'll post links.

Just go to your local auto store and pick up some mobile1 gear oil. A lot of stores also carry Valvoline which is much less money and more than fine as long as you don't go more than 60k miles and don't track the car often.
ok so i went and bought the crush washers which wasnt more than 4 dollars total for both(nissan dealership)....but i went to pepboys after and they had some 75-90 fluids and one that stood out to me was royal purple(12.99 qt) and then there was i believe castrol and one other..they were both 9.99 a qt....but at nissan they recommended 80-90 which at nissan was 9.99 a qt also....should i got with the nissan fluid or go aftermarket???thanks guys for all the help much appreciated..
Make sure you use GL-4 for the transmission, not GL-5. The differential fluid should be GL-5, 80w-90 but 75w-90 will be fine. You aren't going to go wrong with the Nissan fluid, but you might save a little money by going aftermarket. I'm not even sure what Nissan charges for their fluid though, probably not much more.
