how does 3.3 fit with vlsd?... the 3.3 ring gear is thicker than 3.5 (which is the MT FD and typically only MT has vlsd)... I think there was an option for vlsd for AT at one point(but I'm not positive) - I dont know if it was a different size differential or if those gears were 3.5?... but 3.3 FD will not fit with an MT differential.

What made you determine you have 3.3?

Tim, what LSD are you using with the 3.3?

yeah if you got the sport package with the 5AT, you have a VLSD. So yes they offered a VLSD with the 3.3 FD.

I believe that didn’t happen till late 03-04 though (mid mid 04?)... I know someone with an early 03 sport package and I dont think vlsd wasn’t an option... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it wasnt offered initially.

I just looked up the original sales brochures... it was not offered until 05. Standard with the MT sports package and available with the AT sport package... it wasn’t an option prior to 05.

yes you are correct. Only the 03-04 6MTs had a VLSD, ATs were an open diff. 05+ sport package 5AT and 6MT had a VLSD. So 05+ 5AT had a 3.3 FD with the VLSD.
