Talking Looking to upgrade clutch and new gears. Any recommendations?

Like the title states. My clutch is giving out so time to upgrade and might as well upgrade the gears. What should I get? Im planning on boosting in the future but till then I have most of the NA bolt-on mods except cams, headers and im sure some other things. Thanks

Are you talking about your Final Drive gear? The clutch/flywheel and final drive are completely in two different location, you won't save on any labor at all.

Why would you put 3.3 gears into a bolt-on car? Only time you should consider going DOWN in gear ratio is if you are well over 500whp. Just get a JWT clutch/flywheel and you'll be set for a while. If you plan to stay N/A look into 3.9 or 4.08 FD. To do a final drive install requires specialty tools and a competent installer. Figure 500 for the gear set, 300 or so for install kit (if you have over 25k miles), and another ~400-500 for install. That is just for the final drive. Another 775 for the clutch/flywheel, and 350-450 for that install. I would set aside $2500-$2700 if you plan to do it all. It is an excellent mod, but not for the feint of heart.

No......I run an OS Giken integrated set-up in my car. Can't comment to the JWT, but it is just a 1200kg pressure plate with a stock style sprung hub and clutch disk. I would imagine it essentially like stock in terms of engagement (perhaps slightly harsher), and a bit heavier in the peddle (increased pressure plate load).

Thanks for the insight. Im a bit noobish on gears 101 lol. So what would be ideal for an rev-up 6mt?

The heavier the pressure plate the better

thanks for your input on that.

as long as it's not like other clutches that are on/off
