Don't get me wrong, Mike has got on my nerves before, but it does take two to argue.
In your opinion, who was the one that has made it personal by making insults? If that in itself doesn't illustrate the immaturity of the one I'm constantly debating with, I don't know how else to explain it. I note that I wasn't the one that was put on their ignore list because of their rants.

The only time I really reply is when someone here tries to personally insult me. Then I'm forced to examine that portion of his illogic. Which of course takes the thread OT. But again, I'm not the one taking it there.

Jeff notes I didn't call anyone a "douche", question my childhood, have a.d.d, get flamed by liche or have a member ask why I was even trying to reason with OCG (ptown #141). Which he personally flamed.

I'd like a reply from nfsp1 and only him. Thanks.

If you want a message from NFSP1 then PM him. Get the hell out of this thread if you have nothing to contribute to the TOPIC of it.

I installed my 3.5 FD yesterday. Its great. I love the difference in each gear so far.

Cruise Control works at 45, 65, 75 mph. I haven't been able to drive faster than that yet due to traffic. I'll update more hopefully tomorrow.
Congrats on your Christmas present. I love mine as well. Car loves to rev beyween 3000-6000RPM's.

The highest I tried the cruise control was 85 and no problems. What RPM's are you running at 80? I'm at a little over 3200.

For anyone that is thinking about doing the 3.5 swap I'd highly recommend it.

I drove on the freeway today... at 80 MPH i'm at ~3100 rpms. Cruise Control works all the way up to 85/86 mph. At 87 MPH it starts to flash (kicks a code) and disables. Because of the code it will stay disabled until you cycle the engine a few times. I stopped the car and then restarted and it still was disabled until the next time I started it.

I believe that I was correct in assuming that ECU goes off of rpm & gear to determine cruise control. I think it freaks out because it compares this info to the overall speed of the car.

The low end zip is fantastic. I think that because of all the mods it feels even more fantastic than I expected. Every gear feels amazing.

^Nice dude! I haven't tried my cruise control at speeds above 80 yet. I guess I should push it and see at what point it stops working.

Thanks! Very helpful information.
It would be interesting to find out from someone that has done a 3.7 or lower (higher :dunno) gear if the cruise freaks out at a lower speed. Theoretically it should.

Have you checked to see if it throws the code and disables the cruise if you go over 87 without having the cruise on? If it does that might explain why some have said it shuts the cruise down entirely.

since you are 05, I'd be shocked if your CC doesnt work... otherwise I have a freak car - mine works fine.

I have 3.7 CC works at all speeds... havent tried past 90 though... tested several times at various speeds because DaveB couldn't believe it worked past 80.

its starting to look like pre 04.5 are the ones that have issue...

the higher the ratio the lower the gearing.

OCG35 has the 3.69 in his diff. Maybe we can get him to check. If my theory holds true, his cruise control should work up to 81.8 MPH.

I believe I went over the 86 MPH mark and had no problems UNTIL I tried to set the CC above that level. >>>> I think that means the code only gets kicked when you set cruise above that point.
