RPM's at 80 MPH

Yes the 4.08 were a drastic change for the better. They are very driveable and multiply torque in every gear. With bolt ons/tune, an upgraded clutch/flywheel and meatier tires, the 4.083 gears put the g into a totally different catagory. I am able to run with and beat much more powerful cars like modded e46 m3's, sti's, srt8's, and s5's. No regrets.

the thread topic is not strictly OEM... and several of us have posted mph/rmp that is not based on what you posted...
So what you may think is obvious, does read that way in the big picture of the thread's purpose.

expensive?
its actually one of the better mods for the price... FD is one of the more noticeable mods I've done... you can spend much more (very easily) on other bolt-ons that wont have nearly as notable gains.
Pumpkin swaps are always a cheaper alternative - but you arent going to get a Frontier pumpkin to bolt up to your rear-end... AT swapping MT is a good choice... but for MT you're pretty much stuck with installing ring & pinion

If you want CC at speeds at over ~73mph, then don't swap in the 3.5 gears. Do a quick search and you'll dig up numerous cases of 03/04 cars loosing CC above 73mph when going with the 3.5 gears or lower. The 04.5 cars might not have a problem, but the 03/04 cars do.

I am doing this for multiple reasons. I think that some people don't realize what differential they have. I want to know the average rpm at 80. Trying to see if all 6MT got 3.5 and all X got 3.5. Most 5AT are 3.3 but it seems some are 3.5.
