Just got done with my 3.3 to 3.7 diff swap. Syco are you getting vdc slip? I'm getting vdc slip with the vdc on. Once turned off it's fine. I guess worst case I'll just have to do the VDC bypass.

Sorry I cannot confirm since my G35 is stored. Maybe someone who tried this or smaller tires could confirm ?!

It would be nice to have a confirmation but if it's positive I'll simply disable the yaw sensor with my switch since I don't really care about that

EDIT: I'm not sure how the car detects the "slip". Since the rotation sensors are located on the rear axles and since we did not change the tires diameters, they will always rotate at the same speed whatever we are using 3.3 or 3.7 FD. So there will be no front-to-rear rotational difference that can trigger the slip/vdc on that.

On the other hand there is of course a change in rotational speed from the transmission drive shaft to the diff and that may trigger the slip/vdc IF the computer monitors that parameter. It's known to be used for the CC but I'm not sure why it would affect the slip/VDC ?!

UPDATE..No fix yet on the slip. But good news is cruise control is still functional. I guess I'll just do the VDC bypass.

besides the slip issue how does it feel going from 3.3 to 3.7? I have the 3.5 in my 5at just debating on getting the 3.7.

The difference is very noticeable from 3.3 to 3.7. I'm glad I went with 3.7.
Makes it feel like the car gained 15-20Hp lol..

the gears themselves should not be causing your "slip" issue... I've had 3.7 for a couple years - no problem...

It could be the differential itself - I suppose...

Hmmm...Are there sensors for the VDC on the front? Cause I did raise the front up another 1/2". So if there are sensors on the front somewhere I might of bumped it?

Vdc slip

Update!!!! Drove 3.5hrs down to the bay area with vdc on and slip light never came on. But cruise control is no longer working. I didn't do anything besides reset the computer 2x. Did my normal driving to and from work.
All I have to say is I never expected this much difference in acceleration. Accelerating on the freeway doing about 70MPH in D feels like MM in 3rd gear @60MPH. I was able to keep up with the flow of traffic in the fast lane driving 70-80MPH and RPM around 2500-3200. THANKS SYCO FOR THE DIY...

Yes it should definately accelerate faster at the expense of some top speed.

You're welcome, now I can not wait to try mine !!!!

Nice!! I might try this soon I'd rather do this than opening up the diff to install the gear.

Does your CC work below 60mph? Where and how much did you pick up yours for?

Thanks SDG..

SYCO you're gonna be all when you drive yours.
The best part is you get the big jump in acceleration and
the RPM increase is not very noticeable.

Dsskyline I paid $450 for mine. I was lucky to find an 07 S around my area that was being used for parts. CC don't work no matter what speed. I tried it @55-80mph and all it did was blink like the slip light use to.
Since you do the 1/4, I think this will be a great upgrade for you.
