Shouldn't matter you can use either one. People are putting the 6mt diff in the autos due to you not having to change out your flange less work to install.

Don't know if you have to change out your flange since you are 6mt.

Is $350 for a 2007 g35s diff a good deal?

50K miles yes has VLSD, i have to change the flange just as the first post in this thread, so i guess my 2005 manual is the same as 2003 AT

The 2007 diff use a different drive pinion shaft and a different flange for the propeller shaft.

I paid $350 shipped for mine with the same amount of miles and I paid $175 with fluid installed. $150 to me is a good price to have it installed professionally.

i wonder would a 6MT diff will be a direct swap to a 6MT diff or they change the flange due to being 3.7

Also is there a way to have the 3.69 gearing with the 4 bolt flange and VLSD without having to cut the pinion shaft?

Thanks for all the info. I just bought my 3.69 pumpkin. It came out of an 09 G37 MT. that had 20k miles on it. Is there a specific fluid that you used in yours?

^I had the stealership replace the fluid last time and I can't remember what the specs were. Redline is supposedly a good brand. There was a discussion regarding fluids in one of these DIY diff threads but I can't dig it up when using my phone.
