JWT HD Clutch & Flywheel Combo for a 2006 Infiniti G35
Ok Heres the deal. I have to replace my clutch/flywheel because the guy that had it before me obviously couldnt drive a 6 speed. It only has 27k miles on it. But anyway I have heard so much good/bad stuff about the JWT HD Clutch & Flywheel Combo - 03-07 Infiniti G35. But it seems like everyone has it. Is that chatter (clatter) that bad and will this have any long term effects on the car? What is you alls opinon on this clutch. Also I found it at Import Pros for $775 is that a good deal? Any Help would be Great. Thanks

all my friends say the chatter makes the car sound like a diesel.. but.. who cares..?? i put it in with the new motor i got and i haven't gotten on it yet but so far.. it seems fine.. $775 is what they cost with all the extras.. the chatter seems to be getting worse but again.. i don't really care.. if you are worried about people thinkin your car is fuct up even though it isn't .. then i wouldn't get it...
I have the Combo. The chatter is pretty much only annoying. I drift and drive me car really hard and its just starting to slip after about 25k. I'm sure it would last much longer if I didn't clutch kick for initiation. I liked it for the time being. I also haven't tried anything else on the G. I'm going to try to Comp Clutch stage 4. I will be keeping my jwt fly wheel and just buy the resurfacing pads.
I just switched from stock to JWT clutch pack. I went "Full Monty" with Pressure plate, clutch, fly wheel, TOB, SS line and NISMO roller pivot bearing. Mine does chatter a bit, but it's not that annoying. The only thing that took some getting used to was the force needed to push in the clutch. OEM was way easy, but this thing has got some bite. I put it in just before the Raging Bull Texas Stampede, 1200 miles of high speed running over three days, my left leg was sore the first day, but OK the rest of the weekend. My right foot was more sore from working the foot feed! LOL
I got it from Import Parts Pro also, Kyle is a great guy and had them to me in less than two days. The only thing I don't like about buying from him is that I have to pay Texas Sales Tax, but his prices cover that. His shipping was free.
I am very happy with it.
BTW, my last clutch lasted 90K, I expect this one to last longer than that. Also if you are wearing it out in 25K, you are really abusing it hard Lo1983TT, unless that TT stands for Twin Turbo ;p .

^ i've been told that the REV up engines have lighter clutches,
although i like stiff clutches, i hope the JWT unit isn't a whole lot heavier than the non revup clutch.
and the clatter is from the flywheel right, not the clutch?

So Ive been researching this for days. Quiet a few hrs. I just found some reviews on the F1 Stage 3,2 & 1 clutch kits with a steele flywheel for like $600. I know most of the time you get what you pay for but the reviews Ive been reading says that they are compairable to ACT, JWT, Excedy, etc... Anybody have any info on these or personal experiences?
