self checking transmission fluid

Does anyone know how to check the tranny fluid on the coupe? I know on mine it's capped off, and the dealer wants it brought in for the fluid level to be checked by them and ONLY them. Pretty annoying since its a 1 hr drive! I've never removed the cap...might be a dipstick under it, I just never ubolted it yet to look, but doesn't look like it? Anyone know how to DIY

Just unscrew the bolt. There should be a dipstick under the cap, but there were some G35s that didn't have the dipstick, I think primarily the early production ones. Be careful not to contaminate the dipstick when wiping it off/re-inserting.
