I believe the light is for oil pressure, not oil level. Could be you oil pump is on its way out but more likely, the sensor could be faulty.

Also, if you corner really hard it will cause the oil to slosh around in the sump and you could have a moment of low oil pressure when the pickup sucks up air.

Next to the Oil Filter....and it is sensing pressure not level.

Did you ever change your sensor, mine is starting to do the same thing. I have a camp2 to tell me the oil pressure, so I know my pressure is good. I am guessing the sensor is just crapping out.

I would suggest not waiting too long... I had a 280z that had intermittent low oil pressure, I figured it was faulty sensor or gauge and basically ignored it temporarily... waited to long and ended up with ceased motor (it was a bad/clogged check valve so there was no oil pressure - oil ended up spewing everywhere and ceased motor).

Moral of story - even if it is bad sensor, check and replace soon! Because if it's actually low/no pressure you will be sol.

take the sensor off and hook up a pressure gauge to make sure your oil psi is good. other then that, if it is good, just put a new sensor in. its right next to the oil filter.
