I have a chance to buy the rear diff from a wrecked 03 6MT. Is it possible to swap my open diff to LSD. Are all rear diff's V-LSD or is there also a non viscous LSD option(is one an easier swap then the other). What parts would I want off this car and how much should I pay? Thanks guys.

 

I bought a 350Z rear diff complete off the net for $350.00. Much easier than converting you're existing open diff. I did it that way first. www.car-part.com

I would do a search on this as this has been talked about quite a bit. Here's one thread I found in a search and I would pay attention to Gsedan35's post about why swapping to an oem vlsd might not be worth it from a cost perspective.

As for the necessary parts, depedning on what car you have you may need to get just more than the differential itself like ring and pinion gears.
