Suggestions for replacing friction plate on JWT Flywheel

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the screws out on the friction plate of a JWT flywheel? I can't get them to budge after a day of soaking them with PB Blaster. I considered drilling them out and removing the threads with an extractor, but not sure I want to do that unless I hav to. Any ideas?

Impact driver. Only puts force on the bolt while a downward force is applied to the driver so you dont strip the bolts out. The only limitation to how easy this will get them out is how good you can hold the driver when you hit it

The grooves for the phillips head screws are not deep or large enough to put much torque on them. they want to strip before you can get any pressure on them. I tried an impact gun already. Stopped before they stripped out.

Thanks, though.

You tried an air powered gun or one like I posted? The one I posted only puts torque on when you hit the butt of the tool which also puts an equal amount of downward force on the screw.

yes. i tried an pneumatic driver. i just can't get enough torque on the screws before they want to strip. you can feel the bit start to raise up out of the groove. i am guessing they went nuts with the red threadlock like they did on the flywheel bolts.

Bring it to a local machine shop. At best they strip the head and have to replace it.

If not you can use the ghetto torque wrench and wrap a steel pipe around the end of a socket wrench which should give you adequate torque to bust them loose.

yeah, i am leaning toward taking it to a machine shop. again, these are not bolts (i could make it happen then), they are small phillips head screws, therein lies the problem. can't get any torque on them.
