Transmission Shifting Roughly
Most of the time while driving, when the car shifts from 1-2 while accelerating slowly the car will have a hard jerk. However, there are times when it shifts perfectly smooth, i figure if the transmission was faulty, it would shift bad all the time not just once in awhile, can anyone with similar problems chime in or give me some advice, worst case ill have to have the trans rebuilt or changed i suppose. Is it risky driving like this at all, it is only 1-2, if i shift it with the triptronic i can make it smooth, would that be a better way to go?

a "hard" shift is not a bad thing - it generally is better than a "soft" shift because it has much less heat and heat is what kills a transmission.
What you are experiencing may well be a normal thing as well. When did you start noticing it?
If it is slipping before and then slammed into gear then you might be losing 1st or 2nd gear. If that is the case though, there is not much you can do, so you might as well just wait until something goes seriously wrong.
If it were me, I'd just drive it normal and if things worsen be ready to repair or replace the transmission. Might as well start a "transmission fund" for a rainy day - even if it never comes.
