*ALERT* VDC, ABS & Brake Lights Stay On

Sedan and Coupe Owners- Apparently there is a known challenge with the brake swich going bad and causing the ABS, VDC and Brake lights to come on and stay on. It is does not affect safety but a Service Consultant at Scott Infiniti (Gary) gave us the heads up.
Just call your dealer if this happens and they will order and schedule a 15 minute visit.

Carlos, not a prob. It may be the Slip light though and not the Brake light, read it in a another post by Rasta51. Anyway ALL three lights have to be on at the same time and stay on.

I have a 6MT and my ABS, Slip and VDC all came on and stayed on yesterday. I was already planning on calling my dealer today. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Merlin. Is this a common issue, or fairly rare?

GSM,
The Service Adviser made it sound that it was getting more common.

My question is if all of you having this problem has upgrade your wheels and tires for bigger rims like 19" or 20"

The switch is the one under the brake pedal to activate your brake lights, so wheels and tire changes are not a consideration to the cause. Just a bad part. Hope this helps.

Re: *ALERT* VDC, ABS & Brake Lights Stay On

Is this just a problem for the autos? I have 6MT and I have the ABS, slip and VDC lights on. I just brought it in and they said they've heard of the problem on the autos. They are trying to blame mine on my aftermarket amp. They told me to bring it back to the stereo shop and have them reroute the amp power wire. And then if the lights are still on to bring it back to the dealership. I think this is a bunch of BS.

So my question is, have any of you with a 6MT coupe had the ABS, slip and VDC lights come on and stay on??

Thanks

They didn't say at my dealer, just made it sound like it is a known issue. You dealer sounds kind of cheesy.
