I was searching the internet and found a great video on how to fix the clicking noise.


I hope this helps anyone. I will be trying it this coming weekend and I will update to see if it worked.

 

UPDATE:

It's been about a month now since I fixed my axle clicking. I did everything done in the video and sure enough it works. No more clicking and I am so glad I didn't have to pay for new drive shafts.

 

Put lube on it... that's it?

Seems like a bit of work. What am I risking (if anything) by not doing this?

 

nothing can really go wrong as long as ur car doesnt fall off the stands

 

I know its a little late but...

It was pretty easy:

Grease the part below the splines and rotate the shaft 180 degrees and put the shaft back in. Then make sure you torque the nut back to factory settings and put the cotter pin back in. Then you are done.

You won't risk anything as long as you torque everything back to spec that you take off.

Pretty easy and not much if anything can go wrong unless you have no experience working on vehicles
