2007 g35 VDC/Slip lights, troubleshooting

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I've been searching and finding the answers to most of my questions, but I have this one problem that I can't seem to find the answer to.

I have a 2007 G35 6mt Coupe, and the VDC/Slip lights turn on after I've been driving for a minute or two. It usually happens when I get above around 15 mph and usually after shifting into second. Sometimes when this happens, i'll get a brake stutter as though the traction control is trying to engage. After, the VDC/Slip lights turn on. No other safety problems have been noted.

I checked the brake fluid and topped off to just below the max line. I've checked the front brakes. I've removed the wheel speed sensors on the fronts and cleaned them and their mounting points, and i've reset the ECU. I've even brought my car to autozone and Advance to have them scan it.

Still nothing. I don't know if there's something else I'm missing? The front WSS looked okay from what I could tell visually. I have not checked the rears yet though. I've tried looking for the parts, but they're all over $200 bucks, not the $70 that some people in other threads say they are. Also, it appears to me that there are two for the front and 1 that is split for the rear. Is this correct? Is there another way to figure out which sensor it is? Does anybody know a good place to get the part for cheap?

Thanks!

It might be your tires.. Not the right height, I had that issue when I got a flat tire and could only find 245/45/19 tires..so the vdc was tripping cause the 45 was taller then my 225/40/19..i bought for new tires all 35's on my oems and bammm!!

Problem fixed no more vdc, slip, light on hope this helps

I just bought it from the used car dealer. I tried to get them to fix it, but it wasnt covered under their warranty since it is not a mechanical part. The best i could do was get them to give me 100 bucks cash for the part.

2fly: The fronts are 245/40-18 rears are 275/40-18 which is within 3% of the factory spec 225/45-18 and the 245/45-18s. I'm glad getting new tires worked out for you. What kind of issue did you have? The vdc light would come on occasionally, or you would feel the traction control engage?

Blackout: could you describe indicators that it would be the steering angle sensor? Is this part of the traction control system? Is it possible that my alignment is off?

The vdc slip and abs light would just come on when I would drive 1/3 of a mile..but I knew the problem was the tires cause I knew the height was off...but I had no choice but to keeo the tires on until I got new ones

I would drive a very short distance until on most occasions my brakes would randomly engage until those two lights would come on after that it drove fine. I learned ways to get around it because I don't have time to get to the dealer. It happened after my motor replacement in which my shop told me it was because I needed an alignment and new tires. My parents bought me one of those car dr things and I plugged it in got the codes hooked it up to the computer and it instantly tells me my steering angle sensor needs to be replaced. Which is what I already concluded after a buttload of research. It's from the sensor not reading a complete 0 degree angle and throwing the car in a safe mode. Scan your car I got 3 related codes all beginning with c. Don't know exact but if u need the codes let me know and I'll find them for you to see if ur issue is the same
