Need a Clutch...

Hey guys, I need a new clutch and I'm pretty sure I want to get the JWT clutch kit with the flywheel....but now I'm thinking the cement mixer noise is going to annoy me and I want to go with a different flywheel.

Is the nismo flywheel going to be A LOT quieter than the JWT? I am willing to go that route if it will actually quiet the noise a sufficient amount. I heard it will still rattle because it is still a single mass flywheel, just heavier than the JWT by 6 or 7lbs Does anyone have any experience with the nismo personally?

I'm also considering getting my stock dual mass resurfaced, either locally or have it shipped out....not sure what to do here as I have hear mixed stories on resurfacing the flywheels in these cars.

One last thing. I usually cruise around 1600-2000rpm and I have read my driving style will have to "change" because of the lightweight flywheel and I will have to keep my revs higher to avoid the chatter of the flywheel. I'm fine with this, but can I still cruise at around 1800-2000rpm? Or will I still hear the chatter under very low load, such as cruising? If it is just under heavy load like full throttle then that is okay too

ANY help is much appreciated!

I'm going with the Nismo clutch/flywheel setup. It's pretty hard tracking down the parts, but it'll be worth it. The parts are both made by exedy, but the flywheel is 8lbs lighter than OEM so it doesn't have that cement mixer noise at all (from what I've read).

Keep in mind the NISMO is still a single mass fly wheel so it will chatter more than the OEM does. You are definitely right about the weight though; being heavier means less chatter.

I decided to just go OEM

I just got my exedy clutch and nismo flywheel installed, no chatter at all and a lot more bite
