TCM in Transmission

Hello all
I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan Automatic, Manufactured date of 02/02, I am in the process of purchasing a used tranny. I do understand to buy one with the correct date of manufacture to reduce chances of needing to change other parts. My Tranny calls for one from a car with a manufactured date of 03/02 or before. I am under the impression that the Transmission control module, TCM is inside the tranny. Is this correct? If so when I get another tranny will I have to download and transfer anything from the old one to the one inside the tranny I am buying. I already found one with a manufactured date of 01/02. So this is the tranny my car calls for. Please let me know if this is fine and if I have to download anything to it.
Thanking you in advance for this very helpful forum.
