First off I know I’m probably on the wrong forum and I’m sorry if you know where I need to go I would gladly take directions. But I have an 04 G35 and I need the lower steering shaft and u joint replaced but idk where to get the shaft anymore. I tried calling the dealership and they told me that the part has been discontinued and now I don’t know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Are you sure you need to replace the shaft? Normally it's only the u-joint that needs fixin'.

The u-joint is not a discontinued part, Nissan part number 48080-AG30A

The rest of the components for the steering column ARE discontinued, your best bet would be eBay or a local pick-n-pull.

 

that was my plan was pick n pull or eBay but with eBay I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for, like I know it’s a shaft and I know what a shaft looks like but I don’t know if there’s teeth or anything on it like that I’m completely new to all this

My G35x is stuttering and shutting off when I turn it on. Said it was an O2 sensor I changed it. Going to clean out the throttlebody next and MAF sensor. Will also change the plugs. Does anyone know where I can buy an ECM with the Nats bypass? Or am I going the wrong entire way?
