Possible problems with Driveshaft / Rear End / Rear Axle
‘06 35 coupe…
im noticing what sounds somewhat like something scrubbing, like a tire against wheel well, but louder. And it seems to be coming from the red center in excess of 35-40mph. It seems to dissipate when I accelerate or when banking into curves (both left and right). I’ve also checked to make sure nothing is scrubbing in the wheel well.
I thought it might be road noise from the tires at first, because the inside toe of the front tires started balding, and I rotated them to the rear after getting a front end alignment.
Only other thing I can think of is wheel bearings, but as previously mentioned, it seems to be coming from the center in the rear. Or possibly an exhaust leak (which I highly doubt considering it’s gotten louder)
im about to jack up the rear end on jack stands and run it in gear to try and isolate the problem, but if anyone has had any problems in the past and this sounds familiar, please make a post.
thank

You can't rotate the wheels on the 2006 coupe, they're staggered. Rear is 9.5" wide, front is 8.5" wide.
Unless you're using aftermarket wheels that is.
As for your noise/toe issue I would check for a worn rear wheel bearing. Jack up the rear of the car, grab the TOP of the tire and aggressively pull/push and see if there's any play whatsoever. It should have NO PLAY WHATSOEVER. If the bearing is going out you will feel and sometimes HEAR a little play in it.
