Fifth gear clunk on '05 6mt

My car: a 2005 6mt coupe.

The problem: On some drives there is a loud metal to metal "clunk" noise when I shift from 4th into 5th gear. It can be repeated multiple times but it not repeatable between drives. There is no "clunk" noise when I shift from 6th into 5th. It sounds like the bottom of the shifter hitting solid metal. The gear engages fine.

I have no idea why this doesn't ALWAYS happen but I'm thinking it may have to do with temperature. It was rather cool yesterday when it was really loud.

I made a small video of it with my digicam but I'm not sure where I can post an 8 meg file.

I asked the dealer to look into it but of course they said they weren't able to reproduce it. Next time I'll show them the video.

Anyone else have this problem? Have you been able to get it resolved? Thanks for the help!
