05' 6mt grind noise at 5mph after start up

hey i have an 05' 6mt coupe bought it with 150miles on it now has 700.....anyways, car makes a grind noise not any particular gear but more at the 5mph point. Its a grind that lasts a second then dissapears. It does it after start up once i hit 4-6mph, if i stop the car to 0mph then put it in 1st and move again it doesnt do it. I've been looking through threads and haven't seen any problem like this, what could this be?? please help! thanks.

p.s. i have followed the break-in process but have gone over 4k rpms once for no longer than 2sec.

it's perfectly normal. it's the ABS system testing itself.

The ABS self check is part of the cars normal start-up process. My G makes that noise exactly as it reaches 10 mph upon start-up.

David, it's in the Owner's Manual (5-26) . . . Don't sweat it.

Add me to the list of people who experience this identical situation. I think it's normal.

I have the same exact problem with my 6MT Coupe. Took it to the dealer and the rep said it had something to do with the axle of the car. Anyhow, got an appointment this Friday. We'll see what's up... I don't think it would be the ABS because it shouldn't "check" itself everytime you're in rolling speeds. weird. will post up after friday and let ppl know about it. koodles
