I just upgrade the Stillen VB for my 05AT now I'm running into when down shifting in manual from 3-2 & 2-1, the car jerk really hard. I asked one of the Stillen rep and was told this is normal. Does anyone experience this...thanks

 

that's F'up........ so if i change out new tires, and when i drive it, it always end up having a flat..... and if someone tells me that's normal..... i would beat them senseless......

 

from wat i have heard that is normal. Is the stillen VB able to downshift from 4 to 2nd at 60mph?

 

VB = valve body? if so then isnt that a good thing? you wanted harder/quicker shifts.. thats why you upgraded right?

Even when I down shift from 3-2 @ 1.5K-1k RPM (almost at stopping speed) the car jerk hard...from 5-4 4-3 seems fine

 

Yes...the car upshift hard & quick and yes this is what I wanted
but only when down from 3-2 & 2-1 the car will jerk

 

it is normal and only from 3-2 and 2-1.

 

It sounds like he's satisfied with the general firmness of the shifts, but 3-2 and 2-1 downshifts are even harder than that. Downshifts while decelerating shouldn't be hard in any case.

Doesn't sound right to me. I'd call Stillen again.

 

Keep us posted because I was looking at this just last night and now this.

I hope this ISN'T normal and that smooth down shifts are still a product reguardless of the quicker upshifts.
