I'd love to know the same. If I get the NISMO combo, I'll opt for the bearing as well.

I'm leaning toward the NISMO flywheel mainly because it's only lightened about 28%, where most other lightweights are 50%... ...and the extremes being in the 70% range.

The big complaint about the more common 14-pounders is how the loss of inertia kills off-the-line acceleration (60ft.s). I'm not all about drag-racing, so some loss is ok... ...but the 20-pounder NISMO has me thinking it will be a nice compromise in this regard.

Also, I've seen how fast a really lightweight flywheel revs in a Z, and I could handle the revs being a little slower, yet faster than OEM. The NISMO seems like good compromise so far, but I'm not sure I like the idea of their clutch. This OEM clutch sucks.

Got my UR flywheel and JWT clutch installed when the dealer replaced my tranny about a month ago. I have been very happy with the set-up so far. I was worried about stop-and-go but it is not a problem at all.

The dealer tried to talk me into a Nismo but I had the UR at home waiting. All the tecs told me to their surprise the UR is much quieter than all the Nismo's they have done.

UPDATE:

Last week I ordered the NISMO Clutch (disc & pressure plate), NISMO Flywheel, NISMO roller-bearing pilot-bushing and SGP's stainless-steel-braided clutch line. I'm getting ready to order the throw-out bearing (release bearing?) to complete the upgrade package.

I'm not in a huge hurry to install it, as I have performance mods to install first. Hopefully within a month. I'll give a review, but with as much difference as this will be in one shot, it might be hard to pinpoint the specific effect/impact of NISMO's roller-bearing pilot bushing.

I really looked at the UR and RPS flywheels but, in the end, it came down to not wanting an extremely lightweight flywheel. That pretty much left NISMO as the only option.

I have the JWT clutch/flywheel combo and am very happy with it, yes the chatter is a bit worse than stock but its a great clutch/flywheel for daily driving and when you want to beat on the car on weekends

Does anyone have any throughts on the ACT prolite flywheel (13.2 lbs) or lightweight flywheels in general. I've been doing tons of research but keep getting mixed reviews.

I do not mind the extra noise I just want to know if the performance gains are worth it. In particular how much does it improve your acceleration (0-60, 20-60, etc). I'm just looking to make the car accelerate faster, and make it a little more fun to drive. However I would really hate to pay for everything just to make a difference that is barely noticable.

I'm driving a 04 coupe 6mt with:
UR pulleys
crawford plenum
stillen exhaust
3.91 Final Drive

I'm really on the fence with this mod any help would be much appreciated.

Why not?

why? bc they say lightweight flywheels on a 3500lb car is harder to get moving from a stop hence drag racing

it may give you better acceleration. an it may seem like u have more poer but its just bc it may put your existing power to thr ground better than the worn or stock clutch.
i just ordered the jwt combo bc my oem cant hold the vortech.

Go with a Pulley set, I would highly not recommend an Under drive system for daily drivability. I have the UR pulley setup and I love it, but I too will have to be looking at a new clutch soon, been having some issues off and on with the clutch slipping or the gears not catching quite right. Although its technically only been 11 months that I've been driving the stick in it, one of my first ones. So I know part of it is me, but my friends G at 26k miles drives so much nicer

I would agree with that statement, theres a whole huge forum post about driving with a 6MT. But the idea is that by having more weight to help get the car in motion makes it easier to get going. With the lighter flywheel it could make it easier to stall or more difficult to get going. But thats just me, its hard to describe exactly...sorry.
