my 06 will be going in on 02-06-08 for this issue, under warranty(23,000miles). both axles are making the noise. and i will decline to have the head lamps replaced also. nothing wrong there.
i'm disappointed in this infiniti g35. i thought it was a quality vehicle. and just having it a couple of months now. the little rattles, noises and the glovebox light comes on with the head lamps. no cut off switch located on the g/b door. how cheap.
i feel i should have bought a mustang gt.

I just read the axle click TSB and they call for Molybdenum grease. This is a specific type of grease for high pressure situations, like axle & wheel bearings. That lithium grease Phxblue used for his own repair will not last very long and will not provide adequate protection in the axle. He should get some Moly type wheel bearing grease. Lithium grease is for low pressure occasional use places such as door hinges.

I just noticed this noise about 1 week ago and it was pissing me off. I thought it was my brake pads and i lithium grease the crap out of them and still there. Well after a quick search here i found this and i am at peace with myself. I thought i was never going to be able to fix this problem. I will take care of this tomorrow. BTW the grease which goes inside axle boots is the same grease i should apply in the dust shied? Is the Moly grease the same thing or just go ONLY with Moly? Thanks in advanced guys!

Only Moly grease. I am sure they use Moly grease inside the axle boots, everyone else does. If you can get synthetic moly grease that is even better. www.raxles.com is one of the best axle rebuilders and they only use synthetic grease.

just wondering how you guys would describe this sound? cus i think ive got the same problem.. but am in the uk which means no infinity dealerships! well not yet anyway...
best i can describe is like a little metallic jingle or tingle coming back from the rear right wheel when i go over speed bumps or over really bumpy road surfaces.. that description sound right? need to fix it now..getting irritating!
