Think this would be under my drivetrain warranty? Thats all I've got left, for another 30k or so..... (extended warranty)

A previous reply stated someone replaced a certain bolt, I was just wondering if the dealer followed the TSB or did something else the TSB didn't mention to fix the clicking.

I have no idea what to do, other than try the M77 grease. I've used grease which I though had all the same properties...

Can another dealer answer this for me, I too want to know if it would be covered under my powertrain warranty? I bought the car used and at the time it wasn't making the noise and the previous ownersaid he never had the problem (37kmiles, now at 63k). Being a second owner, Im not too familar with what the powertrain warranty includes exactly.

I called my dealer and the service guy on the phone said he wasnt sure until the figured it out, but he said they would look at it for free...i just dont want to waste my time if they're not going to fix it.

I have an 07 coupe and I noticed that same clicking noise from the rear. I have 21k miles so they better not give me any issues. IMO i loved this car when i bought it, things are starting to annoy me...first, the black paint is horrible, the littlest thing scratches the paint!!! and now this clicking noise...

When I went to get my A/C looked at, the dealer also recommended the same thing. He said my rear axel was clicking, and I needed to get it greased. I was quoted $275 for it. I notice it when I change from drive to reverse, and the other way around too... Just to make sure, this is the same issue you guys are talking about here - right? I too am planning on doing that when I have the back end up to change the rotors and pads.

best i can describe is like a little metallic jingle or tingle coming back from the rear right wheel when i go over speed bumps or over really bumpy road surfaces.. that description sound right? need to fix it now..getting irritating!
This is the exact noise I have. I have got down there and tried to see if anything was loose but all seems in order. its pretty noisy on bumps at low speeds with the windows down. its definitely not the axle click mentioned here. thanks. I'll search some more too, but its usually the axle click threads that result.

FYI, not covered under powertrain warranty, its a bumper to bumper warranty fix only. Just had mine in to see about getting it done, wanted $250 to do it, I'll do it myself while I also do my rear diff cover and fluid change.

This sound just started on my car, and I just lowered plus got a motordyne 1/2 spacer at about the same time. Not related..

Is this sound just a annoyance or could become greater if not treated?

I just had mine fixed at Infiniti Tampa, $240, Parts:
-nut 39607-03P0A (12)
-Bolt 39606-22P0A (12)
Pin-Cotter 40073-OL700 (2)
Washer Spring 08915-2401A (12)
total parts about $80

NOT under powertrain wrnty, BUT, they did describe the bolts as a "NEW UPGRADED" bolt, which to me would make it a recall? Whatever, doesnt creak anymore, also got a quote to do clutch chatter and driver seat loosy goosy, clutch $2400, seat $711
