I would go download the fsm for your year and see if they identify the equivalent wires for shifting. The fans are available for download in the FAQ DIY forum as a sticky. Compare it to the newer model fsm. Good to get familiar with the fsm anyway...

Or someone with an 04 can chime in.

I never understood why some cars were pull to upshift and push to downshift. I always felt like the way our cars are, push to upshift and pull to downshift seemed right.

Just made the switch on my 06 coupe. It works great. The push to up shift always bugged the hell out of me. Great mod and write up thanks.
