DIY: LS2 350z Begins..
WOW! After trading my LS2 GTO for G I always wondered what it would be like to have that motor in this car. The best of both worlds. Great build. Please make a video after your done so we can hear it fire up.
This is so awesome!!! This is the first time I've come across this thread. Looks great, keep up the great work!!! I did a small-block to big-block converstion in my 67 camaro, but that was no where as involved as what you are doing. Can't wait to see it finished!!!
This swap has been a nightmare...waiting for parts...having the wrong parts over nighted...its getting old. Other than that its been pretty easy. The harness took me about 4 hours to go through..it would of taken longer but I had to do this with my RX7 when I swapped an LS6 in it.
So what other stuff did you need besides the stuff that came with the kit and the engine/transmission. I'm sort of looking into doing this myself possibly in the future.
getting parts and the right parts at that is always a PITA when doing a custom build - I have been waiting almost a month for parts on a project at work
I like what I see so far, you have to post a vid so we can hear it!

i dont know off the top of my head, but im pretty sure the LS1 guys run heads off the 5.3 to bump up there compresion. I cant remember if you can do that on the LS2 or if you can use the new L92 heads...
i read an article online about the LQ4 (6.0L iron block) using L92 heads and gm performance cam and it made nice numbers for cheap!!
** found it! link!

the iron block weighs 60 lbs more than the aluminum ls2
but i dont know if the swap would nickle and dime you trying to get all the stuff needed.. LS1 twin turbo skyline
