Anyone get headwork?
Anyone get headwork?
Has anyone here gotten any headwork done? I've been contemplating a port/polish to compliment my N/A mods. How much did it cost and how long was the downtime?
Headwork doesn't affect the ECU or emissions much, does it? Isn't it just another flow mod like an intake or exhaust?

ISMSolutions, in addition to the gears and all that, also had port&polish done, as I recall. If you contact him, please direct him toward this thread so that his feedback will be hear for future reference.
There's lots to deal with.
Your number one concern is AF tuning - bottom line, and idle, to a degree. If your going to get headwork done, you'd be wasting your time not to get the cams done at the same time as well. As you need to change springs, etc at the same time, you may as well as it all get taken apart during the headwork....save the labor charge and just buy the parts.

I can't comment on cost and downtime will depend on the shop doing the work. I've been an engine builder for along time - so cost wasn't much of an issue for me in that arena.
I custom polished the ports as well with a spherical tornado pitted polish - something I've done for over 20 years - I don't believe in too smooth vs. ionization techniques.
